
Herrenberg - a charming town with medieval flair
The district town Herrenberg is situated in the heart of the Gaeu, the area between the Black Forest and the regional capital Stuttgart. The town and its 31 000 inhabitants has an excellent infrastructure and can be reached easily from all directions.
The foundation church with its baroque onion tower overlooks the whole town and has become a unique landmark to the Gaeu region. (by the inhabitants the church is called 'Glucke vom Gaeu' ).
Herrenberg has the reputation of being one of the finest examples of half-timbered architecture in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The market place with the market-fountain, the town hall, the numerous half-timbered houses and a large number of fountains, all this bears witness to a rich and turbulent history.
