The Herrenberg Adult Education Centre is the adult education institute for Herrenberg and the Upper Gaeu. It was found in 1947 and today it is one of the most successful institution for further education in Baden Wuerttemberg. (range 20 of the German top ten, 34.000 DE per year!)

More than 40 000 people are trained by 400 tutors annually. Here the adult education centre signalizes an innovative potential. First it was possible for customers to engage tutors from the adult education centre and nowadays it belongs to the top flight e-learning programmes.

The adult education centre plays an important role within the local cultural life. The so called 'Drei-Sparten-Theater' (theatre for children, teenagers and adults) presents cabaret and  theatre performances in the 'Alten Turnhalle' on regular terms. A wide range of exhibitions is presented in the Town Gallery, Marktplatz 1 and in the gallery of the culture centre, Tübinger Straße 38.

The communal cinema is situated in the building of the adult education centre.

A PC-training for seniors is provided in the Internetcafé of the adult education centre. The training is free of charge.

Annually the adult education centre organizes about 2100 events in the core area of advanced training. Health advice and health education serve the people in and around Herrenberg. The language school contributes to  international understanding and creates new knowledge for innovative development. Beside a wide range of further education the adult education centre offers educational journeys. The training programmes take place all over the year and do not depend on school holiday.
