Fields of action
In agreement with Mayor Dr. Volker Gantner and the Initiative 'Local Agenda ' it was in September 1999 that the 'Local Agenda 21' of Herrenberg was officially recognized.
The leading thought of the Agenda 21 arranges an action programme which provides good examples of actions that organisations have taken and that make a contribution to improving our environment in the future.
Today, action is occurring at every level to reduce, to avoid and to better understand the risks associated with climate change. The engagement of everybody, especially on local sector, is needed.
There have been founded 5 working fields in Herrenberg. These working fields are acting in detailed programmes and decisions for a sustainable development. All citizens are invited to take part in our working fields!
