Cycling tours

Your starting point could be the station, the car park near the municipal hall, the indoor swimming pool or the cemetery (Waldfriedhof)

We will suggest a number of possible options which you can follow or vary as you like.

• Cycling tour with the family; a short and easy route with the possibility of stopping for a snack or meal.

From Herrenberg through the Ammertal, past the Ammermuehlen, towards Gueltstein. From there on to Altingen and from there towards Hartwald.

Past Hartwald on to Kayh. Back by the marked cycle path to Herrenberg.

• Group cycle tour; a pleasant day trip

From Herrenberg up to Moenchberg to the Steigplatz. From here an enjoyable descent to the barbecue area and the Neue Bruecke children's playground. From here turn right towards Schupfhuette and here to the right again towards Jaegergarten and to Kayh sports ground. Continue along the edge of the Schoenbuch towards Moenchberg and back to Herrenberg.

• Sporting cycle tour; a demanding day tour, in places along rough tracks.

Starting from Herrenberg town centre, out past the Ziegelfeld residential area and over the Alte Steige to the Waldfriedhof (cemetery) car park. Through the Schoenbuch and along the Sommertalstrasse, you come to the New Bridge.

Possibility of a stop at the barbecue area. Along the Goldersbach (stream) to Bebenhausen. Back via Postbotenweg to Hagelloch, from there on to Unterjesingen and from there via the marked bike path through the Ammertal and back to Herrenberg.

Apart from these three possibilities you can also choose various routes of different degrees of difficulty according to your own requirements. We would be glad to provide advice.
